Grace Tailoring Centre Closes after 19 years

Covid 19 has affected the lives of everyone throughout the world and this includes India. Friends of TREAD has decided that it is no longer viable to fund the Grace Tailoring project. This decision has come with the interruption of the present course due to Covid-19. The situation in India is worsening and there are now confirmed cases in Podia. The boarding students were sent home in March and Gujalashmi their tutor has since been keeping in touch with them regularly by phone and all the families are well. They have been supported financially directly into their bank accounts during this time. It is likely there will be restrictions of movement for the foreseeable future so recruitment of students for the next batch to start later this year is not possible.
