The TREAD Cream tea at St Leonards in July was very successful and raised £632 . Thanks to all who supported and helped us on the day.

James Western of St Leonards completed the Hastings Mini Marathon on 11th March 2007 in 13th place out of 500 of the 11 to12 year old runners at an amazing speed of 5min 15sec per mile. He was sponsored for Friends of TREAD  and raised £101 .  Our congratulations and thanks go to James.

Saturday Dec 9th 2006: The Christmas pantomime of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - Performed by the Maplemead Guides and directed by the Steadfast Sea Rangers at St Peters Church Hall, Henleaze, Bristol
They raised £500 with our thanks.
September 17th 2006: Megan Vowles of Bristol recently ran the Bristol Half Marathon. She raised £581.31 for TREAD through sponsorship. Our thanks to her for this great effort.
Thanks to the Panto Pals group of Rangers in Horfield Bristol. In addition to their regular support they raised  a fantastic £480 from a pantomime they wrote and produced.
11 year old Ben Dart of Bristol raised £186 through a sponsored fast and selling of some Christmas cards that he made. Thanks to him.
Our auditor Martin Fletcher is currently the national president of his union the First Division Association ( The FDA ) which represents senior public servants. For the duration of his two year term of office he has nominated Friends of TREAD as the union’s supported charity. They recently held a quiz night in London with the result that £410 was raised for us.

Many thanks to Martin and his colleagues for this great effort and for their ongoing support.

The Coffee Morning at Chapel Park Road Baptist Church on March 29th raised over £360 for TREAD . There was a generous donation of £100  from UK Online at an occasion that marked trustee Tricia Owen’s departure as manager of the Online Centre
Compassion Proposed New Project
Compassion International have asked us to set up a project in the Bhadrachalam area. More information to follow.
The Catenian Association Bexhill on Sea Circle has sent us a wonderful £2035 as a result  of their fundraising efforts for TREAD over the last year . Our thanks go to them.
Use eBay to sell unwanted items, and help us too
